Ory Ory O (jungle love)

I discovered a photoshop action I didn't know I had. It's called retro and I love it. I like to alter every photo I take just to see what happens. I can't leave a photo alone. And you can't make me.

I always thought that song Jungle Love by Morris Day and the Time started with "ory ory o" like oreo...but actually it's "oh-wee-oh-wee-oh". Anyone remember that song?

Mary A. borrowed my oreo cake pan and made the most bestest chocolate cake with peanutbutter frosting ever! She made it for Kelly's birthday last week.

Thanks Mary:)

I've been playing around with taking pictures of sewing objects. I have big plans... not really that big and I may never do anything with it...
I have been sewing here and there but nothings finished.
I'm in a funk regarding sewing.
Somethings gotta change.

I can't say that I remember that song....

The photo action is cool. I love the spools of thread.

The girls are really cute too.

The cake was to die for and the cupcake were amazing.

Hope you get your sewing groove back soon.

Love the photos. Especially the sewing one, can't wait to see what your doing with it. I'm in a sewing funk too... and it's depressing. So I hope you get yours back soon!

I knew it was owee owee o, but ory ory o made lmfao...it ranks right up there with jungle boogie as a song that is a guilty pleasure. :) I like the picture of the string and of course of the girls. I am jealous of the cake of course and you know the pan is on my amazon wish list. Just waiting until I can afford it. Maybe before August and Maddy's B-day :) I like the new header and the altering of your own pictures is an addiction...the first step was admitting you have a problem. Seriously though I like the actions you use on them. Love you, miss you and enjoyed talking to you.

ps...member that sauce for the noodles you told me about? I think I would like to try it. I know you said you would send me some so I could try it, but I don't remember telling you yes sooooooooooo. Yes thank you

I totally remember that song, and I thought it was "ore-ore-o" too, for a long time. I'm glad I'm not the only one. And the oreo cake? DELICIOUS. I need to pester Mary for those recipes (the cake, and the frosting). Even with out the fancy-schmancy cake pans, I could make something quite tasty, if not quite as cute.

Where did you get the action? I like to play with my photos too, but I usually go with actions that make the photos pop, rather than tweaking the color. I really like the other ones, I just never use them for anything.

And maybe you're in a sewing funk to enable you to play more with photoshop. :) I'd be happy to come over and share my (limited) knowledge with you--it'd be fun! And we could let the girls play together. I'm totally self-taught, though; Kelly knows way more about it than I do. Maybe we could take her class together??

love that thread pic... I want to know what your plans are for the pics =] Sorry to hear about the sewing funk, I thought it would have blown over by now. I am the opposite, I have TOO much I want to sew and NO time right now. Boo! And seriously, that cake looks like the best one on earth!

That song makes me laugh.
The cake looks SOOOOO good. I have been resisting the urge to bake... because then I would have to eat it all...
like the action!

I think I remember the song.... at least I think I have the tune to that one part but I can't remember the rest of the song. I'm glad you blogged the cake! I only got HALF a piece! You guys inhaled it while I was out! That was actually enough though because it was SO rich. I think I could get really fat on that...... I really love the pic of the thread! That's istockphoto quality! Seriously!!!! We could use it in the mwr magazine! :) I think I am obsessed with sewing enough right now to cover both you and Katelyn. I just wish I had more time.....
